Intercom System:

Entrances to the building are locked 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  You can admit visitors to the building from your apartment if they contact you through the intercom system in the Coastal Highway entrance.

If the visitor knows your unit number, they press * and the 4 digit unit number on the intercom keypad. e.g. unit 901 is entered as *0901.

If the visitor does not know the unit number but does know the owner's name, they press # and then scroll up or down alphabetically until they reach the owner's name and then press 0 (Zero.)

The telephone in the unit will ring.  When the phone is answered in the apartment, press #6 on the phone and the lobby door will open.

Fire Alarm System:

In the event of a fire emergency, the fire alarm provides a voice notification to each apartment in the building.  You'll hear  "There is a fire emergency in the building. Please leave by the nearest exit. Do not use the elevators, etc."  The emergency responders will let you know when it is safe to return to your apartment.

Video Camera Surveillance:

For your security, most public areas of the building are covered by video camera surveillance.  These are monitored and recorded around the clock during the summer season and are active throughout the year.
